At Voyage we have a well-developed Professional Services Team who oversee and offer technical expertise and leadership in many operational areas including Finance, HR, IT, Estates, Health and Safety, Catering, and Marketing and Communication.
Having these professional services provided centrally enables our Headteachers to focus on leading learning in their own academies and reach their full potential, knowing they can rely on the partnership with the operational managers to help them achieve their individual strategic aims.

Our Catering Directorate provides a full catering service to all Voyage academies, ensuring all learners within the Trust have access to nutritious meals during the school day.
Using our fleet of vans, featuring specialist transport ovens, we deliver hot, fresh food directly to each Primary Academy - ensuring quality meals are available and that the Trust remains complaint with food safety legislation and practice.
All of our food preparation and serving spaces have been judged to have Grade 5 food hygiene standards.
We also recycle food waste for bio-fuels and plastic bottle recycling.
Our Finance team provides a managed service to all our academies, as well as the Shared Services Team and Directorates, complying with both Company Law and DfE/ESFA regulations.
All financial reporting is performed by the Finance team to ensure consistency, compliance and achieve value for money. This includes monthly management accounts, payroll, VAT returns, ESFA returns and the annual financial statements.
Our Finance team will support and advise Headteachers and Directorate Managers, but most importantly challenge decisions using local and national benchmarking to ensure that VFM and maximum impact is achieved for each of our learners.
Health, Safety and Estates
Our Health, Safety and Estates Directorate has oversight of all estates functions within the Trust, ensuring all areas are developed and managed in line with the Trust’s asset management plan, which ensures learners are able to access education in safe, well-maintained facilities.
The team provide high-level advice and governance in all matters relating to Health and Safety, and facilities management, including the management of our Estate Management Systems and capital project management.
This Directorate is responsible for providing people services across the Trust to support employees and managers through the employee lifecycle.
They are involved with resource and talent management, training and development, reward and performance management, employee welfare, and remuneration.
The team are also instrumental in the delivery of the Trust’s Employer of Choice strategy.
Our IT Services Directorate provide fully managed IT services to all Voyage academies, as well as the Shared Services Team.
The team provide a stable and secure infrastructure, including a point-to-point backbone between sites, a data centre, internet monitoring and filtering services, and cloud services.
Our team operate within ITIL best practice guidelines in incident, problem, change, release, asset, knowledge and project management.
Marketing and Communications
Our Marketing and Communications Directorate works with all of our academies, helping to promote them via press releases, photography, social media, the formation of links within the community and many other avenues.
Marketing campaigns and the creation of promotional literature are also created from within this Directorate.
All of these aspects help ensure valuable exposure is secured for the fantastic work which is taking place within each of our schools every week.
